Bernard Hinault painted by Rob Ibjema in the 1980 edition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege. In Arctic conditions, Hinault would go on to beat the next rider Hennie Kupier by 9’24”. You can find some of Hinault’s impressions of the race over on Rouleur’s blog.
